A Chance to Train

Big About Music and Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire have to teamed up to offer training from January 2011, CYPN and BAM will be delivering the new QCF qualifications, we have secured part funding for this so we are only charging a minimal fee.  All of the units will be accredited though a National awarding body (either City and Guilds or Edexcel)

QCF - Qualifications Credits Framework, is the new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications in England, Walesand Northern Ireland. Instead of undertaking a whole award, this allows people to learn in bite size chunks, as you complete a unit you are awarded credits which you can accrue to gain an award in your own time.

CYPN have been part funded for this through Progress a National initiative led by National Council for Voluntary Services (NCVYS) to develop the Voluntary Children and Young People workforce.

To be eligible to enroll on the courses, you must be working with young people for a minimum of 3 hours a week and be working within the voluntary sector.  As part of the course you may be asked to additional reading outside of the course days.

Attached is the training plan with the units that CYPN will be delivering, please look over.
