Big About Music C.I.C was formed in April 2007.
Our core aim is to provide music making opportunities for children, young people and adults who would not otherwise have the opportunity to do so. The Company uses music making to develop people socially, personally and educationally.
We deliver music making sessions in schools and community centres across Northamptonshire, training courses for community musicians across the East Midland. The company has delivered NVQ’s in Youth work for the past three years and this year will deliver NVQ level 3 in children and young peoples work. All staff engaged or employed to work with young people have either a youth work qualification or are undertaking one.
Four directors the Chair Desmond Glen, Company Secretary Natalie Newby, Debbie Goodfellow and Wendy Walsh manage the company. They are supported by two stakeholders groups one involving young people and one for funders and partners [young people also have representation at this group].
